The course consists of two main related parts: algebra and calculus. The first part will cover: introduction of system of linear equations (solve linear equation by Gaussian elimination), matrix, determinant and the use of matrix in solving a large equation system, and some properties of matrix that will be used late in the course. The second part focuses on derivatives and integration. As the terms are quite familiar with students, the course will be applied-oriented. Business Communication is an independent course for the seniors of NEU’s Advanced Education Program.
Business Communication is a content-based course to be conducted with the communicative approach to provide learners with and to get them to understand the essentials of Business Communication. It also gives the learners opportunities to practice and perform well popular written and oral forms of business communication. In principle, the course is conducted fully in English. However, to help students get closer to the real working environment, some reference materials will be provided in Vietnamese.
The course takes 48 periods of 55 minutes each during 12 weeks, with 3 hours per week.

- Non-Cognitivism: Emotivism and Prescriptivism
- Consequentialism (Teleology): Utilitarianism and Egoism

- Applied ethics: Abortion, Altering genes and cloning humans, Capital punishment, Same sex marriage, Environmental ethics, Animal rights
- Business ethics.

This course is designed to provide students with an overview of important issues and topics of marketing that apply to consumer market. The focus will be placed on marketing as a company function in the process of creating and delivering value to target customers, and building profitable customer relationship. Main contents will include marketing concepts and process, market understanding, customer behavior and competition analysis, customer-driven marketing strategy, renewed marketing mix 4Ps.
The course also put an emphasis on letting students be updated with new challenges and opportunities that marketing practitioners are facing in today business landscape. A holistic approach of marketing management will permit practitioners to embrace new realities with an accelerated digital transformation, an increased marketing accountability and a strengthened awareness of social responsibility.

This course guides students through fundamental project management concepts and behavioral skills needed to success-fully launch, lead, and realize benefits from projects in profit and nonprofit organizations. Successful project managers skillfully manage their resources, schedules, risks, and scope to produce a desired outcome. In this course, students explore project management with a practical, hands-on approach through case studies and class exercises.
The course covers both the managerial and technical skills required to plan projects, acquire the necessary resources, and lead project teams to successful completion. Topics include the strategic role of projects in contemporary organizations, maint contnets of PM, the project management by life cycle of PM, the technical management tools to manage scope, WBS, network diagrams, estimating time and managing project schedule
